The Highway Rat Hardback Book:

The Highway Rat Hardback Book:

From the creators of “The Gruffalo” comes this beautiful story of The Highway Rat, Hardback Book. Life is far from safe for all of the animals travelling the highway when The Highway Rat is about. He’s notorious for stealing all their food: clover from a rabbit, nuts from a squirrel, he even steals his own horse’s hay! Will he ever learn his lesson? And then one day, he meets a very brave and very cunning little duck. Beautifully written in rhyme by the wonderful Julia Donaldson and illustrated in iconic style by the brilliant Axel Scheffler.

‘Give me your buns and your biscuits!
Give me your chocolate eclairs!
For I am the Rat of the highway,
and the Rat Thief never shares!’
