A massive part of running a small business is “Reaching Out” to find people, help people and make connections. It’s a big old world out there! Our Castle Donington store will always be the heart of what we do but through our website and social media campaigns we hope to extend our welcome to customers further afield. So we are always delighted and very grateful to be featured in blogs and publications by our suppliers, parenting magazines and local business pages.
Bigjigs Toys are one of our largest suppliers and have kept us stocked up from Day One with their wonderful wooden toys, puzzles, games and their award winning wooden Bigjigs Rail system. So we were bowled over backwards to be invited to take part in their Small Business Spotlight feature this week. Click here to read the full article on Bigjigs’ website.
Earlier this week, Julie featured in a local article for Derbyshire Live, focussing on the area local to our Castle Donington Store. We are extremely lucky to be surrounded by a wonderful collection of small independent stores that keep our beautiful village buzzing from dawn ’til dusk! Add an airport and race-track into the mix and we have a recipe for a truly thriving village with so much going on! There’s never a dull moment! In this article, Julie joins other local residents in discussing life in this busy village. Click here to find the article in full.
If that hadn’t been enough for one week, we’ve also featured in the May/June 2022 issue of Progressive Preschool Magazine! Julie, along with other independent retailers in the sector discuss the impacts of COVID, the changes seen in shopping habits online and in-store, our hopes for the coming the months and more. We are constantly striving to bring our customers the very best selection in children’s gifts, made to high standards, using responsibly sourced materials and at a great price! It can be quite a challenging tick-list to fulfil but in these current times with pressure on spending and rising costs all around us, it’s a task we are determined to undertake.
What a fantastic trio: they do say things come in three’s!
As spring turns to summer and the branches of our little store continue to grow, we would love to thank all of the wonderful people who have supported us through the years. To customers, suppliers and followers, old and new, “THANK YOU” and if we can ever be of any help, we are right here. See you soon!
